Why a standalone APK?

Because, on the 6th of September 2024, Google removed Audio Forge from the Play Store and terminated my Developer account.

It happened suddenly, without prior issues and without any clear explanation, citing vague claims of “Deceptive Behavior”. This decision came without any warnings or the opportunity to fix any alleged issues. You can read more about the situation on my post and in the Google Play Developer Community.

That means hundreds of users who supported Audio Forge were left unable to access the app they had paid for and helped shape through feedback and community involvement. I believe that’s unfair to the people who trusted me, so I decided to adapt the Android version to at least allow them to continue accessing their content and features outside of the Play Store.

Why should you trust Audio Forge?

• Verified on Other Platforms: Audio Forge is still live on the Apple App Store, and Apple has not flagged any issues with the app. The codebase is identical between the Android and iOS versions.

• Security Scan Results: All versions are checked with multiple antivirus platforms to ensure they’re free from malware.

• Open Communication: Join our Discord community to chat with me and other users. I’m fully transparent about the development process, and you can see for yourself how I handle issues and feedback.

What to Expect Next

I am still in talks with Google in the dwindling hope of resolving the situation. I am also actively working with legal counsel and have opened a dispute with Google to seek a resolution.
